FOCUSED EXCELLENCE

For over 17 years ALTEK has chosen to pursue and cultivate relationships with local, small to mid size technology companies. We limit the number of search assignments we will accept at one time, greatly enhancing the value we add to each assignment we undertake.

What you will find in ALTEK is a head hunting practice that is niche oriented. We take a narrow and deep approach, focusing only in permanent placement of software technology professionals in the Kansas City metro area.

We strive to proudly represent the cornerstones of our business: Integrity, Quality and Trust. We will always place the interests of our clients and candidates ahead of our own. Ultimately, our goal is to build trust and confidence so our client's can lean on us to identify the talented people necessary to grow their business.

We treat all clients and candidates with dignity and respect and view all people as valuable even when they do not meet our needs or those of our client. We will provide insight in the decision making process to both the client and the candidate in the direction that seems most beneficial both personally and professionally.

The end result is a search that is completed successfully, within our clients' time constraints and to the delight of our candidates. We are proud of what we do and believe we are part of an admirable and honorable calling.

The Employer's Viewpoint

Employers have needs. They know their needs.
They seek matches between those needs and the candidate's interests and abilities. As soon as they have a match, they hire.
Successful job seekers are those who learn to look at the job process and prepare their candidacy, from the employer's viewpoint, as well as their own.
As you prepare for job interviews, engage in practice interviewing and all the other positive steps.
Analyze your approach from the employer's viewpoint. Make sure you project yourself as an answer to their needs and make it clear what you can do for them.

Employers today say many individuals lack realistic views of what the world of work is all about, especially in today’s economy. They arrive late to work, they dress inappropriately, are unwilling to take a less than perfect job and work their way up and some believe they should be earning higher salaries than employers are willing to offer. Employers are also seeing more and more job seekers that lack maturity and business acumen. They say that some individuals do not know how to act in some social situations, they lack professionalism and tact, and they lack good business judgment.
